The Bridging the Gap program is designed to cultivate integrity and excellence in urban youth through on one relationships that empower them academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. By creating a teaching/learning partnership with an enthusiastic adult, students are motivated, oriented, supported, stabilized and new visions are awakened. Motivated by fundamental educational principles Bridging the Gap has helped heal, prepare, and inspire youth, and their families to:

• Take a key role in the development of the whole person
• Engagement of the entire family in education
• Building of bridges in communication between youth and adults
• Awakening of visions in our students
• Encouragement of peer support
• Transcending of traditional barriers
